Jacob Chavez, Owner, Lead Designer, Builder
Creating has been my passion from an early age. It all started with a single conversation with my grandmother, a well-known artist in San Francisco. One day, she told me, “Jacob, you’d make a great engineer.” I said, “but I don’t want to drive trains.” She laughed and went on to tell me what an engineer does, followed by a story about how she wanted to be an architect, but back then, there were few female architects. That single conversation lit my fire and influenced every decision I made in regards to my career. I sought out anything that involved creating, followed by a professional degree in architecture. I dreamed of owning a design build company. I guess you could say, I’m living that dream.
Alyssa Ray, Interior Designer & Project Coordinator
Alyssa helps coordinate our projects, helping to plan and make sense out of the day-to-day operations at JCDB. She will help you select your materials and fixtures and get them on the way for our team to install. Her background in interior design and natural ability to manage many complex tasks makes her an integral part of the team.
Barb Goodrich, Site Superintendent
Barb has a passion for building and customer service is at the top of her priorities. She is a natural leader and with her long resume and passion for improving homes, she excels in her job leading the team on site. She manages the day-to-day operations on the ground. As a long time softball player, she keeps the team working toward the goal, a winning project for you.
Mack Davisson, Maker
Mack has been enjoying (and enduring) the Pacific NW since 2015. With his varied and fascinating background, he brings his interests and experience in the film industry into his work, creating with JCDB. He takes pride in his work and is passionate about woodworking and serving his community. Mack infuses that energy into the customer experience to produce quality elements throughout our project.
